"One sunny afternoon, general malcontent Cameron Kelso was trying and failing to write a tune. Frustrated, he resorted to drawing the tune instead, and several dozen crumpled pages later was surprised to be holding something that very nearly worked.

Fast forward to the present day, and Cameron has been busy fossicking around in the fertile ground between the worlds of jazz convention and graphic notation. Here he is hoping to share with you a suite of compositions by the incomparable Joe Henderson, lovingly deconstructed and rearranged, and brought to life by some of the nation's finest musical minds.

Cameron, his contemporaries, and the team at 151 Improv welcome you to experience, both aurally and visually, the lush sounds and colours of a jazz titan's work, wholly reimagined."
